The ICP Generator builds a complete Ideal Customer Profile dossier from a short description of a business and its offering. Each dossier includes the target role, company size, revenue range, acute pain triggers, buying signals, disqualifiers, a value proposition, and ready-to-use outreach angles. Generated profiles are saved to a persistent library so you can reuse them across campaigns. Use the ICP Generator when you are:
  • Defining who a new offer is for before writing content or outreach.
  • Running the ICP and fit-focus step of the Founder Signal System.
  • Building a library of segment-specific profiles to drive prospect list building and message maps.

Open the tool

The ICP Generator is available at /icp-generator. You can reach it from:
  • The Tools & Resources menu in the top navigation.
  • The Tools section of the footer.
  • The dashboard tool cards.

Generate a profile

  1. Open the ICP Generator.
  2. Fill in the intake fields:
    • Business or client name, for example Acme Legal Consulting.
    • Core offering, for example Nevada CRE Intelligence / Fractional COO.
    • Target industry, for example Commercial Real Estate, MedSpas, Logistics.
    • Target persona, for example Managing Director / Clinic Owner / CFO.
    • Primary revenue objective, for example $5k/mo Retainers, Enterprise Pipeline.
  3. Generate the profile. The AI synthesizes a full dossier and saves it to your library by default.

Manage the profile library

The library lists every saved profile, newest first, and can be filtered by industry. It ships pre-seeded with three baseline profiles the first time it loads: Nevada industrial CRE brokers, independent MedSpa owners, and founder-led B2B agencies. From the library you can:
  • Review any saved dossier in full.
  • Save a manually written profile alongside AI-generated ones.
  • Delete profiles you no longer need.
Profiles are stored in Postgres and scoped to your workspace. Profiles without a workspace are visible globally.

Requirements

AI generation requires the GOOGLE_GENERATIVE_AI_API_KEY environment variable. If the key is not configured, generation requests fail with HTTP 503 while the library, manual saves, and deletes continue to work.
