Overview
A workspace snapshot is a versioned capture of a complete operational configuration: LLM hyperparameters, integration settings, active agent swarms, playbook workflows, and prompt overrides. The replication engine lets you save the setup of one office, then clone it into a new office, franchise, or satellite branch without rebuilding the configuration by hand.
Use snapshots when you need to:
- Preserve a known-good configuration before making risky changes.
- Stand up a new branch office or franchise from a proven template.
- Roll a workspace back to an earlier saved state.
What a snapshot captures
Each snapshot records an office name, description, version, and tags alongside a scoped configuration payload. The scope flags control which configuration areas the snapshot includes:
Canonical templates
Two pre-seeded snapshots ship with the platform and appear in the snapshots grid alongside any snapshots you save:
- Kansas City HQ Master Configuration (
snap_kc_hq_primary): the full flagship production configuration.
- Franchise & Branch Office Zero-Waste Starter (
snap_franchise_starter): a lightweight, low-cost starter template for new advisory branches, boutique agencies, and satellite locations. It runs a reduced agent roster and disables higher-cost integrations such as ElevenLabs voice and Pulse Social.
Clone a canonical template rather than editing it. Cloning keeps the template intact as a baseline for the next office.
Managing snapshots in the app
Open Settings and select the Snapshots & Franchises tab. From there you can:
- Create Snapshot: enter an office or branch name, a snapshot name, and a description. The app saves the current configuration under that identity.
- Clone to Branch: pick a snapshot from the grid and enter the target office name. The engine copies the full configuration into a new snapshot tagged
cloned-branch.
- Restore: apply a saved snapshot’s configuration to the active workspace.
Every operation is also available through the API. See the snapshot endpoints reference for request and response formats.
Replicating a workspace via the API
To replicate a configured office into a new branch programmatically:
The clone response returns the new snapshot, including its generated ID. Restore that ID to apply the configuration.
Tag snapshots consistently (for example franchise, production, low-burn) so operators can identify the right template when standing up the next office.
